At Haas Orthodontic Arts, we want to make the entire orthodontic process as smooth as possible – starting with your first visit until the end of your treatment.
Often new patients have many of the same questions. Here are answers to many of the common questions we receive. Please call us if you have any additional questions or concerns.
How do I get started?
To get started, simply call and schedule an appointment at the location that’s most convenient for you. We have orthodontic offices in Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, and Akron/Canton. The initial visits average about 30 minutes each. During your first visit, we will perform an oral exam and discuss our findings with you.
If treatment is necessary, we will recommend and, with your consent, obtain the appropriate records we need to prepare a complete diagnosis. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled to discuss the results of our study and answer your questions.
If your child is not ready for treatment, we will monitor him or her at 6 to 12 month intervals. When the time is right for treatment, we will let you know and recommend that records be taken for further consultation as noted above.
Are there any forms I need to complete?
You will receive a patient history form in your introductory packet. This should be completed and returned to our office on the day of your first appointment.
If I have an exam, do I have to begin treatment?
No. The orthodontic exam, records and consultation are done to provide you with the information you need to make an educated decision. If you do not want to begin treatment, the only fee charged is $400 if orthodontic records were taken.
