Dear Patients, Parents and Guardians,
Good news! As of May 1st, 2020 the State of Ohio has allowed dental practices to reopen for routine dental care. We will reopen our office on Monday May 4th, 2020. As may be expected there will be changes to our normal operating procedures to accommodate Covid 19 concerns.
* The State Dental Board has recommended fewer appointments to avoid large numbers of individuals being in the office at the same time. As a result, appointment availability may be limited when we reopen.
* We are requesting parents, guardians and siblings without an appointment to wait in the car. This will limit the number of people in the office and help us maintain social distancing.
* If a parent or guardian wishes to discuss any aspect of their child’s treatment, the State of Ohio is requesting they wear a mask into the office.
We thank you for your understanding and together we will make it through this trying time.
Sincerely,
the Doctors and Associates at Haas Orthodontic Arts

Dear Patients, Parents and Guardians,
When the State of Ohio required closure of our practice on March 16th, 2020 the stated goal was to slow the rate of Covid-19 exposure. This was adopted to avoid overwhelming the health care system and to preserve Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for first responders and health care workers.
As these goals are being met, the question becomes when can we fully reopen to serve our patients. Currently we are limited to seeing patients who are having problems with their braces.
Unfortunately at this time there doesn’t seem to be a clear answer to this question. We are hoping it will be some time in May.
While we are waiting to reopen we would encourage our patients who are wearing night braces and elastics to use the extra time to progress their treatment. If anyone needs elastics, please call the office and we will mail them to you. Of course, don’t forget to brush your teeth twice a day!
Till we meet again, stay safe and we look forward to that day.
Sincerely,
The doctors and associates at Haas Orthodontic Arts

Thank you for visiting the recently launched website for Haas Orthodontic Arts. We hope you will find this new site easier to navigate and use. It contains a lot of great content for patients – both new and established – including information about various orthodontic appliances, what to do in an emergency, frequently asked questions about fees and insurance, bios for our orthodontists, and how to get started as a new patient.
Need directions to one of our offices or a phone number? The new site makes it easier to access this information, especially from a mobile device. New patients can also request a consultation online, particularly if you find yourself researching orthodontic care and orthodontic practices after hours.
Be sure to bookmark this site and check back often for updates.

I have been asked about “lifetime guarantees” for orthodontic treatment. The simple truth is teeth shift as we age. Things like wear of the teeth, due to chewing or nighttime grinding (bruxing), changes in muscle tone and balance, restoration of the teeth due to decay, and loss of supporting bone structure around the teeth due to periodontal aging, will cause teeth to move. Most of the time these shifts are minor and hardly noticeable.
I am aware of a few orthodontists who offer a “lifetime guarantee.” I look at this as a marketing gimmick. They tend to have many exceptions and exclusions. Ask to see a written copy of the guarantee and read the fine print. And by the way, how good is a “lifetime guarantee” if the orthodontist is now retired or living in another state?
Because of these factors, our practice does not offer a lifetime guarantee. Instead, we do offer significant discounts for any past patients who wish to perfect their more mature smiles.
